Will it shift?
Pick the shifter, rear derailleur and cassette you’re trying to run together. You’ll see whether it indexes, which gear it falls apart in, and whether a cable reroute can save it.
Each box is a cog: the bar is the cog, the dot is where the chain lands, and the number is how far off it is in mm. Cogs are numbered from the smallest.
After the fix
Ratios cross-checked against BikeGremlin’s rear derailleur compatibility guide. All figures are rounded averages: Campagnolo 10-speed shifters pull different amounts per click across the range, SRAM’s Exact Actuation ratio is disputed, and Campagnolo changed its 11-speed parts again around 2015. A result here means the maths works — still check chain width, derailleur capacity, freehub body and cable routing on the actual bike. 12-speed isn’t covered.
